In the 2020 ACC_R residency program, an international residency program of the National Asian Cultural Center, Lee Da-young (Creative Computing Group Master Student) and Lee Ji-won of the Department of Art & Technology were selected as ACC_R Creators and produced <Adme (2020)>.
<Adme(2020)> is a sound installation work that expresses phenomena occurring in a virtual ecosystem that mimics the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in sound and light. This work metaphorically conveys the dynamics and balance of the complex ecosystem by listening to the DNA data of living creatures in the DMZ and the sound generated through the virtual ecosystem algorithm through a 3D acoustic form of 20.2 channels in a dome structure.
<Adme(2020)> can be viewed in the 2020 ACC_R residency result exhibition <Biophilia: The Universe of a Handful of Earth>, which is in progress from November 24, 2020 to March 1, 2021 at the Asian Cultural Center Complex 1.
