Interactive Media Art | Green Cycle Campaign | 2020

Master student Baek-shin Seong and Professor Jusub Kim created a large interactive media art work named '1652 Summer Lights' with the AMorePacific CSR team.

This work is part of a green cycle campaign commemorating the '12th Resource Circulation Day' on September 6th. A total of 1,652 cosmetic bottles returned after being used by customers are upcycled and reborn into light. Each cosmetic bottle was compared to the hottest and most vibrant summer in our lives, and the moments of life where everyone lived fiercely were sublimated into brightly lit LED art.

This work was unveiled at the headquarters of AMOREPACIFIC, and was exhibited at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts on October 16-18, 2020. It is now permanently installed at Alleyway Gwanggyo.
